Central Vermonters are still reacting to the news this week that the Langdon Street Cafe, one of Montpelier's most vibrant and eclectic meeting places for food, drink, art, music and conversation, is shuttering its doors after 6 plus years.

As a semi-regular visitor to Montpelier, I recall some moving and hilarious moments at Langdon over the years. Here, though, I'd simply like to say "Thanks" to all the good folks at Langdon who worked hard to provide a musical meeting place for so many of us over the years.

One of my most recent visits to Langdon was with the Phineas Gage Project, a three piece acoustic band with whom I am fortunate enough to perform.

We spent a magical night this past winter in the sonic space of that wooden-floored room singing our hearts out. Here's a brief musical excerpt - an old Mark Knopfler tune called "Romeo and Juliet."

Thanks, Langdon, for the memories.
